Project Summary
Built in the late 1980s, this homeowner’s kitchen had become functionally inadequate and outdated aesthetically. The cabinet exteriors were fine, but the interior usefulness and depths were completely inadequate. The walk-in pantry was bare bones with very little actual storage capability.
The goal was a beautiful, highly functional space with a very modern style with lots of exotic textures and colors.
Local artisans contributed to the amenities including a copper wall accent from the Netherlands, the kitchen island wishbone base, and a forged iron staircase. A half-bath update finished off this extensive remodel marked by a very modern style of textures and color. Let’s not forget Spanky the dog’s kennel in the laundry room, styled to mimic the stair rail treatment. Stacked the washer/dryer to create more space.
