Project Summary
Every home has a story, and sometimes it takes years to fully understand the changes that will make it function better—and feel better—too. For these homeowners, the exterior had always held such potential from the day they purchased it. After living with it for a few years, they realized it was time to bring that potential to life.
The goal? To enhance the home naturally, keeping its original character intact while thoughtfully updating it to improve daily life.
The living space above the garage was raised, creating extra room without disrupting the home’s harmony. Warm cedar accents now frame the entryway portico and garage awning, adding depth, dimension, and a welcoming touch. Fresh siding and refined details complete the look, resulting in a home that feels refreshed, timeless, and more functional than ever.

It is worth noting that such a change isn’t just about form and function—it’s ultimately about creating spaces that serve you better. In today’s tumultuous world, there may seem to some ample reasons to wait to spend on a remodel. Indeed, if you’re waiting to save up that makes some sense.
But with today’s new and improved construction financing options, even that reason has less punch. Most of us simply procrastinate when the decision is a big one. Few, however, stop to consider the increased cost each year’s postponement brings to the project (add 5% for each year). Not to mention the loss of enjoyment over that time.
No one in the history of the world ever said, “I wish I had waited longer before improving or fixing my home.” Ever.
