An Artful Take on a Timeless Bathroom in Newport
This Newport primary bathroom remodel blends playful blue tile and colorful shower niches with warm wood cabinetry, Craftsman character, and clean transitional style.
Project Summary
The goal for this primary bathroom was to have it feel happy, inviting, and full of personality. They wanted to have fun with color and take the inspiration of natures beauty from their life in Alaska and working with indepenent artists they've met over the years. They wanted a space that reflected their interests and experiences. Blending designs of craftsman warmth with clean transitional lines, helping to create a welcoming backdrop for playful color and personality details.
The original bathroom layout required stepping up stairs in an area that served as the closet and shower enterance. Therefore, not making it the safest transition between level. By elemenating the soaking tub, we were able to move the toilet across the bathroom and re-design the closets stair enterance away from the shower allowing it to all be on one level. Soft blue and green tiles wrap the shower, while colorful artwork within the niche adds a creative touch from an artist they've worked with in the past. Glass shelves provide practical storage without hiding the design, and clear glass enclosure keeps the details visible throughout the room.
The result of this new primary ensuite bathroom is a cheerful, a personal retreat that brings nature inspired color, meaningful art, and improved everyday function. A refelction of the places and creativity the homeowners love.
