A flooring consultation quickly grew into a full main-floor remodel, bringing the homeowners' longtime dream of a larger living room and deck to life. Clean design, a white kitchen, and meaningful custom details create a timeless space that's perfect for entertaining and everyday living.

Project Summary 

What began as a simple flooring consultation quickly evolved into a complete reimagining of this Lino Lakes home. As conversations unfolded, the homeowners realized it was the perfect opportunity to bring a longtime dream to life by expanding their living room with an addition and creating a larger deck better suited for entertaining and everyday living. Passionate home cooks and frequent hosts, they also envisioned a bright white kitchen with high-end appliances, improved functionality, and architectural details that create a cohesive flow throughout the main level. A custom coffee bar framed by an elegant archway echoes similar details near the mudroom, reinforcing continuity from room to room. 

With a preference for clean, intentional design, the homeowners wanted every detail to contribute to a calm, uncluttered aesthetic. New flooring creates continuity between the main floor and basement while complementing the home's existing woodwork, which inspired thoughtful design details throughout the space. The expanded living room serves as the home's centerpiece, where reclaimed cedar ceiling beams and a custom fireplace mantel pay tribute to the homeowner's father, a skilled woodworker, bringing warmth and lasting personal meaning to the design.

The result is a timeless home where meaningful details, cohesive design, and functional gathering spaces come together beautifully.
