Murphy Bros. Mid-way Celebration Event
Employee appreciation and progress update event keeps everyone engaged and informed of the company's progress towards shared goals.
Reflectioins on our work so far in 2025
Mid-way event is an important milestone for Murphy Bros.
Murphy Bros. employees rallied in the early morning hours to celebrate the “Midway Company Breakfast” event held at the Blaine office. Nearly all, 54 of 58, attended this annual event, which started in 2022.
Most companies wait until the annual Christmas party to review the year, but Murphy Bros. believes that all employees need to know how plans and objectives are progressing while they can still take action to affect those goals. This is as much a celebration of what we've done so far as it is of what needs to happen to reach the company goals.
President Ben Murphy uses this touchpoint to summarize the progress at the mid-year point, providing numerous examples of client satisfaction and employee success, as well as highlighting the need for referrals, which is more critical for future stability than ever before.
client satisfaction depends on seeing things through their eyes
It's the little things that really matter
He also discussed the market shift toward large, more complex projects, which is expected to continue into the second half of 2025. “We’re seeing more new home clients than we ever have in the past, and I expect that to continue as interest rates begin to moderate,” Murphy said.
“That alone will not be sufficient to reach our goals. To do so, we must also feather in the smaller, less complex, quicker to complete projects,” Murphy explained.
Owner John Murphy spoke briefly about what he calls the importance of the little things. “It’s noticing the day-to-day stuff our clients deal with and how we can perform little acts of thoughtfulness to make their lives better. Maybe you see their newspaper in the bushes and bring it to them at the front door, or pet the dog, or shovel the walk from a bit of overnight snow. It’s the little things that demonstrate you care,” said John Murphy.
