10 Great Customer Experiences in a Row!

Congratulations to the staff at Murphy Bros. for achieving this milestone of customer satisfaction. Yesterday we were notified by GuildQuality that our 10th customer in a row gave us the highest possible score in response to our “Likely to Recommend” question.

The last time we did this was back in 2019, the same year as our office fire and just before the pandemic hit.  It seems we have not only recovered from all of that but continued to excel in our customer experience capability!

This is the same as pitching a perfect game in baseball—the rarest of all feats in baseball. Not a single batter reaches base in nine innings. One hit or walk at any time ruins the consecutive string of successes.  

The last perfect game thrown in Major League Baseball was June 29, 2023, when Domingo German shut down the Oakland Athletics in succession in an 11-0 Yankees win. German threw 99 pitches in the win with nine strikeouts to achieve the first perfect game since 2012. — The Sporting News.

Just as in baseball so it goes with our GuildQuality client surveys.  If we get one less than 100% satisfaction rating our consecutive string is reset to zero.  Of course, we’d like all our clients to have a 100% satisfied experience, but we know that’s no more possible than pitching a perfect game every time you take the mound. 

Not incidentally, in all of baseball, there have only been 319 no-hitters (including the 24 perfect games), so that gives you some context to the specialness of such an unbroken string of successes. It’s a big deal.

It’s also a big deal to us because it means all the improvements we made, all the attention to the little details have paid off, and all the dozens of professionals involved in these complex remodels are performing at the highest level to create these spectacularly happy homeowners. 

If that doesn’t get you up in the morning, nothing will.
