David Long
"The most important thing to me is clarity. Whether it’s in the details or in the overall goal of the project, there cannot be success unless there is a clear and shared understanding of expectations."
Trust is really the cornerstone of all of this relationship. And I don't mean that lightly. It's just that, they need to believe that I'm hearing what they're saying, and I'm going to take that into account, and I need to understand what it is they're really talking about, even if it's not spoken out.
And so, we have a little bit of a dance. We have to get through so that, so I understand what their needs and their desires and their pain is and that they believe that we have the ability to solve those, and we'll solve them genuinely and fairly and within a budget.
when I meet with somebody to talk about our remodeling project, the goal is to really understand why they're considering a remodeling project...

Summary of Experience
David Long is back! David originally joined Murphy Bros. as a project manager in 1997 as a 2nd generation new homebuilder. In the following 12 years he moved from field management to the design/build role, meeting with clients and helping them envision how they could reach their dreams for their homes. In 2007, he left Murphy Bros. to strike out on his own and eventually built a remodeling business with his son. Now he’s back answering the call with Murphy Bros. as a design/build consultant to help us through our current growth transition. To say that David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience would be an understatement. He has 10 years in the new home building trenches, 2 years in project management, 6 years working for an engineering testing firm and 14 years in design/build.
