“Inspiring Homeowners to Design for a Lifetime”

In this recent article, titled "Universal Design is Good Design and Great for Business," Director of Project Development, Bob Mock, and Design/ Build Consultant Kasey Birch, were asked to explain why young professionals and soon-to-be-retired homeowners need to look at their home in a completely new and different way.

Murphy Bros. has spent the last few years focusing on how to serve homeowners who are approaching retirement, as well as their children who want to address the likely life scenarios they may face in the near future.  The result is a concept they've coined "Forever Home."

“We need to think of the home as a legacy endeavor that serves everyone, no matter their station in life or age.  Every remodel we design reflects the present desires without ignoring the future needs," explains Mock. 

"It is more demanding on everyone involved," says Birch, "but the value delivered is off the charts!”
