Winner 2023 BBB Torch Award for Ethics in Business
For the second time Murphy Bros. has won the BBB Torch Award!
Murphy Bros. Design Build Remodel has once again been honored with the BBB's coveted Torch Award for Ethics in Business at a June 2nd ceremony in Minneapolis.
"This is a team award and not an individual one," said owner John Murphy. It might start with the vision of leadership but the win is when your team shares your values and the vision for the future. The "BIG" win is when your clients share that too!"
The Torch Awards recognize extraordinary area businesses that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to ethics and integrity in all aspects of their operation.
In his acceptance remarks John Murphy recalls the difficult journey his company has been on these past 5 years and how the addition of his son Ben to the executive team leadership and the subsequent adoption of EOS principles led to this great honor.
"The introduction of EOS principles and tools has had a profound effect on our ability as a team to improve our operational health and intelligence," said Ben Murphy, Operations Director and eventual successor to his father John Murphy. "And that translates into remodels that end on time, on budget, and with very, very happy homeowners," concluded Ben.
Now in its 40th year of operation, the Twin Cities design/build leader recently won the GuildMaster Service Award and Best of Houzz Award. Murphy Bros. won the Torch Award in category 2 consisting of companies with 11-99 employees. Murphy Bros. won the Torch Award for the first time in 2017.
BBB presents the Torch Awards for Ethics annually to celebrate businesses that live their commitment to integrity, ethics and building trust with consumers. Eligible businesses can submit an entry to BBB, where a panel of independent volunteer business and community judges selects the winners. Nominees must be in good standing with BBB, but BBB Accreditation is not a requirement to compete.
